The largest mushroom farm has opened in the region

Over the past few years, investment in the region has doubled. Local entrepreneurs are also actively participating in the implementation of investment projects.

With government support and funding from the Ministry of Agriculture, a mushroom farm has been commissioned in the Qyzyljar Special Economic Zone as part of a program to replicate the experience of the North Kazakhstan region. This is one of the largest and most technologically advanced production facilities in Kazakhstan. Total investment amounts to approximately 11.3 billion tenge.

The enterprise plans to grow and process up to 2,400 tons of mushroom products per year. The project will further boost the development of the region's manufacturing industry, contribute to the creation of new jobs, and increase the share of domestic products in the domestic market, thereby ensuring import substitution.

Future plans include the launch of a compost plant with a production capacity of up to 4,000 tons of compost per year, as well as an expansion of the mushroom farm's capacity to 4,800 tons of product annually.
