The message of the akim of NKR

Dear people of North Kazakhstan region!

With the beginning of autumn, the incidence of COVID-19 is growing all over the world, including our region.

The fight against coronavirus in the near future may be complicated by a new problem: seasonal cold snap, which is traditionally accompanied by outbreaks of colds.

Taking into account the dynamics of the growth of morbidity, restrictive measures were introduced in 10 settlements. The activity of the monitoring groups has been strengthened.

In case of an aggravation of the situation, we have prepared everything necessary.

Hospitals are provided with a 2-month supply of drugs, a pharmacy network for 1 month.

If necessary, we are ready to deploy 3 400 beds.

The number of ventilators has been increased by 3 times, from 73 to 232 units. Before the pandemic, there were 56 oxygen concentrators, now there are 362 of these. An increase is 6 times. We are introducing 5 oxygen stations at the expense of the local budget.

At the end of October, the construction of a new infectious diseases hospital with 200 beds will be completed. The fifth PCR laboratory is introduced. This will allow 3,000 tests to be carried out daily.

The ambulance car park has been replenished with 18 modern intensive care vehicles. In November, we expect the delivery of another 20 cars, as well as 8 mobile medical complexes, 6 X-ray machines and 111 ventilators.

Dear friends!

As you can see, based on experience, we have thoroughly prepared for the second wave of the pandemic. This is our responsibility.

After listening to my words, some of you may think that everything is fine, there is no cause for concern. If only everything were so easy and simple. But, there is one catch. This virus is very insidious and unpredictable.

If you get sick, you will be treated in the hospital according to the protocol. But no one can give a 100 percent guarantee that they will save you.

Nobody knows how your body will behave. Every organism is different.

No specialist can say for sure how effective treatment methods are. It's like a roulette wheel.

Half of those infected develop pneumonia. For many, it becomes fatal.

In our region, 4326 people have contracted a dangerous virus. This is more than 4 thousand lives and medical records. Each disease proceeded differently. Each of them can tell about the hardest fight against the coronavirus.

We should be grateful to our doctors. In the summer, doctors worked in an emergency mode. Have pity on our doctors.

It was very difficult to protect everyone who entered when the hospitals were overcrowded. The doctors made incredible efforts. Our doctors literally brought patients "back from the dead." There are losses of course. There could have been more of them, if not for the professionalism and courage of our doctors.

We have had cases when patients with 90% lung affected by the disease were connected to mechanical ventilation for a month. Saved, but at what price?! In many cases, at the cost of doctors' lives.

In Kazakhstan, 12 thousand health workers have contracted the coronavirus. 182 doctors became victims of covid. Terrible numbers. This is a war with an invisible enemy. People in white coats are constantly on duty in order to preserve your health and life. Do you not care about the fate of our doctors?

I'll tell you more. Some people still don't believe in the existence of the virus. It seems to them that this is someone's conspiracy or an invented story. The whole world is suffering from the vicious virus. Every day, we see news from all over the world about the victims of the virus. The entire planet is fighting the virus. Countries are again being quarantined.

But some continue to proclaim otherwise. By such behavior, they make it worse for themselves and their family. They put people around them at risk.

When the virus hits them and their family, only then awareness and understanding come. Is it really necessary to get sick and endure a serious illness for this?

***

Of course, it’s better not to lead to this. Safety measures must be observed. Everything is very simple. Wear a mask, treat your hands. Keep your distance. Avoid large crowds. I'm not even talking about family celebrations, which are prohibited. There are many events in our life that we want to celebrate with friends and family. But now we need to postpone those. We will have time for the holiday later. A wedding or an anniversary can turn into a disaster for someone now. You may lose a loved one. You can't hold family celebrations, think about your loved ones.

The virus is especially merciless to the elderly and those who suffer from chronic diseases.

The overlap of two illnesses: the common cold and the coronavirus can have dire consequences.

We ask you to keep the older generation and people suffering from chronic diseases from risk.

Dear North Kazakhstanis!

The fight against COVID-19 this spring spring has been effective with your support, discipline and sanitation.

However, the summer breaks have given many people a false sense of calm. Let me remind you that the virus is spreading strongly throughout the world now. As pulmonologists say: "The virus has no legs, people spread it."

Therefore, discipline and responsibility is required from each of us again today. I ask everyone: be as careful as possible. Take care of yourself and each other!
