On the eve of Independence Day, the Bereke district hosted the grand opening of a fire station named after Altynbek Abdrakhmanov, a hero who sacrificed his life to save people.
The opening ceremony was attended by Emergency Situations Minister Shyngys Arinov and Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov.
The city's last specialized fire station opened in 1975, and the new facility is the first to be commissioned in 50 years.
Bereke is one of the city's most dynamically developing districts. Social facilities and residential buildings are being actively constructed, and the population already exceeds 3,000. The fire station fully complies with modern technical requirements and safety standards. The facility has all the necessary infrastructure for effective service.
The station includes a six-apartment residential building, providing employees with housing close to their duty stations. A training tower was also built for training and practicing tactical skills.
The keys to the new fire-fighting equipment were handed over in a ceremonial ceremony. The S.M. Kirov Plant equipped the fire-fighting equipment with modern communications equipment, video surveillance systems, and specialized drones.
