During the Akimat meeting, the development of sports and the Qyzyljar Special Economic Zone were also discussed

Both areas are under special supervision and are being implemented in accordance with the President's instructions.

"Sports infrastructure is a fundamental element that creates conditions for sports participation, developing talent, and improving public health. Over the past three years, the industry has received a significant boost: funding has increased by 24%, exceeding 37 billion tenge. These funds have enabled the construction of 108 sports facilities, significantly expanding residents' sports opportunities. I would like to highlight the important contribution of business.

Our farmers are using their own funds to build sports facilities for their employees and rural residents. This year, projects worth approximately 1 billion tenge have been completed," the akim of the region said.

Construction is also beginning on three strategically important sports facilities for the region:

• a multifunctional ice rink with a speed skating rink and hockey rinks;

• a universal sports complex with a 50-meter Olympic swimming pool;

• a 5,000-seat indoor football arena with a football academy.

These projects will become a key platform for the systematic training of professional athletes, the development of youth sports, and the identification of new talent.

The next issue is the development of the Qyzyljar SEZ. Today, the special economic zone is demonstrating steady positive momentum. The SEZ's territory has been expanded by 510 hectares, including two new subzones in large rural areas.

9.6 billion tenge has been allocated to provide utility infrastructure for Subzone No. 3. The funds are being used to build roads, storm sewers, and a heating system, creating the conditions for new production facilities and attracting investment. Following the meeting, the regional head instructed that ongoing oversight of the construction of sports facilities be ensured, efforts to engage the public in sports and district participation in regional Spartakiads be strengthened, the provision of utility infrastructure to new and existing SEZ subzones be expedited, efforts to attract investors to the new subzones be intensified, and systematic monitoring of all investment projects — from construction timelines to production volumes and job creation — be organized.
