The first investment business forum "North Kazakhstan Region – China" was held at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kazakhstan

The event was supported by Mr. Han Chunlin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Kazakhstan. The forum brought together over 100 participants from both sides and served as a platform for establishing new business connections and discussing prospects for mutual cooperation.

"We are actively developing partnerships in a wide range of areas. China remains an important economic partner and reliable investor for us. Two more subzones have been successfully launched in the region. One of them, located in the Taiynsha District, has become a magnet for investment, particularly from Chinese partners. The G. Musirepov District has unique potential, particularly in logistics and agricultural processing. Creating favorable conditions for investors remains our priority – we are developing infrastructure, strengthening support measures, and creating a comfortable business environment," the akim of the region noted.

In the first eight months of this year, trade turnover between the North Kazakhstan Region and China amounted to $105 million, more than double the figure for the same period last year.

The event included the "Botai: Culture of the Great Steppe" exhibition, as well as an exhibition of products from leading agricultural processing, subsoil use, and mechanical engineering companies in the North Kazakhstan Region. A business council was also held, attended by representatives of 40 large Chinese and 30 North Kazakhstan region companies, along with a series of B2B meetings between entrepreneurs from both countries. These talks allowed the Chinese partners to better understand the potential of our region and identify new areas of cooperation.
