In pursuance of the Head of State's directive to provide the population with high-quality drinking water, extensive work is underway in the region.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Akim of the region (Gauez Nurmukhambetov) and the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
"Thanks to the support of the Government and the joint work of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation with local authorities, significant results have been achieved. More than 74 billion tenge, including 45 billion tenge from recovered assets, has been allocated to water supply projects in our region from all sources," the akim of the region noted.
With the support of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation:
The reconstruction of the Bulayev group water pipeline and the construction of water pipelines and branches to rural settlements in the Taiynsha district have been completed. Water pipelines with a total length of 170 km have been built to 13 villages, as well as a pumping station. The project to reconstruct the Bulayev group water pipeline and construct water pipelines and branches to rural settlements in the Akzhar District has been completed. Branches totaling 123.2 km have been constructed to five villages.
Construction of the water pipeline to the Kokshetau group water pipeline is nearing completion. As part of the project, 220 km of branches have been built to 24 villages in the Shal Akyn and Aiyrtau districts.
As a result of these projects, more than 22,000 rural residents in four districts of the region now have access to centralized water supply.
Importantly, many of these villages now have access to clean drinking water for the first time, including distribution networks and inlets to homes.
Furthermore, 46 integrated block modules are being installed in nine districts of the region, and 37 centralized water supply facilities are being built, which will improve the quality and accessibility of drinking water for rural residents.
