The ceramic panel of Abay was installed in Petropavlovsk

The head of the region met with representatives of the public, scientists, historians and writers near the ceramic panel of Abay Kunanbayev. The work is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great poet and is made of ceramic tiles outside the house at the intersection of Abay and Auezov streets.

The author of the portrait is a native of Petropavlovsk, member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, Bolat Aserbekov. The uniqueness of the image is the absence of a wear period. It is not affected by rain and cold. It should be noted that this is the first mural in the country made of ceramics.

Further, the akim of the region visited the regional drama theater named after N. Pogodin. A large-scale reconstruction is underway here. The foyer of the first floor has been enlarged, the appearance of the stage and the auditorium is changing. New lighting will make it possible to experiment in productions.

The inside of the theater will be decorated with Gzhel styled painting. Such innovations will make the drama theater more attractive for both local residents and city guests.
