The district is demonstrating positive progress in many areas, from the development of utility infrastructure to the implementation of modern digital solutions.
Twelve water supply projects are being implemented, with a total funding of over 12 billion tenge. Road repairs are underway, covering approximately 35 km of roadway. The heating season is proceeding as planned. Bank stabilization work at the hydraulic structure continues.
The infectious diseases department of the district hospital has undergone major renovations funded by the budget.
Business representatives also actively support healthcare issues. For example, the Zhangeldi farm in the village of Birlik built a medical center at its own expense, thereby contributing to improving the accessibility of healthcare for the rural population.
A major renovation of the secondary school has been completed, and modern technologies are being introduced into the educational process. Also, as part of the "Law and Order" concept, a "Zhas Sakshylar" classroom has opened in the district.
The district continues to implement initiatives aimed at improving living conditions and developing social infrastructure. New public spaces, squares, and retail facilities, including a modern supermarket, are opening. During the working visit, I met with residents and community representatives of the district. Current issues of concern to the public were discussed.
As per the Head of State's directive, the country's first district IT center was opened today in Sergeyevka.
"This is an important step toward the digital development of rural areas. Almost half of the region's population lives in rural areas. New industries are actively developing here, entrepreneurship is expanding, and jobs are being created. In these conditions, personnel with modern digital skills and artificial intelligence are especially in demand. Therefore, digital infrastructure development must be carried out locally. Similar IT centers will soon open in all districts of the region," the akim of the region noted.
A unique project for growing and processing sugar beets is being implemented in the district. Asyl Farms LLP successfully harvested its first crop, demonstrating the effectiveness of modern agricultural technologies even in northern climates. The planting area will eventually be expanded to 10,000 hectares. By 2028, a sugar beet processing plant with a capacity of 1 million tons of raw material and an annual sugar output of up to 200,000 tons is planned to be launched. This will significantly reduce dependence on imports and strengthen the country's food security.
The company is also developing potato farming — over 240 hectares, with a yield of 45 centners per hectare in 2025. A modern vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 8,400 tons has been built for storing the produce.
