A delegation from the Kurgan region visited the NKR

An official delegation from the Kurgan region, led by governor Vadim Mikhailovich Shumkov, paid a return visit to the North Kazakhstan region.

During the visit, a meeting was held to discuss key issues related to strengthening interregional cooperation and propose further development of the partnership between our regions.

The delegation also learned about the economic and investment potential of the North Kazakhstan region and visited a number of industrial enterprises and social facilities.

"The Kurgan region has been and remains an important strategic partner for both our region and for all of Kazakhstan. Interregional cooperation between our territories has deep historical roots and demonstrates sustainable positive dynamics. Business ties are strengthening year after year, mutual trade is growing, and the range of interactions in various fields is expanding. "The potential for cooperation between the Kurgan and North Kazakhstan regions remains high, and we are ready for its further comprehensive development," the head of the region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov, noted.

Over the past five years, trade turnover between the North Kazakhstan region and the Russian Federation has increased 1.6-fold, reaching $694 million.

One promising area of cooperation is seed production — approximately 30% of seeds imported to the region are already from the Kurgan region. New growth areas are also being actively explored, including in mechanical engineering.
