The plywood from North Kazakhstan will enter the world market

The akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov wrote about that on the page in social networks.

“This year, a new product will enter the market of Kazakhstan and abroad: laminated plywood made from North Kazakhstan birch. Turkish investors are preparing to open a new plywood mill. Commissioning of modern equipment from Germany and Turkey is underway. With the support of the state, a promising production facility with the participation of foreign capital appeared in an empty building,” — the head of the region wrote.

1.8 billion tenge was invested in this project. The new enterprise will provide permanent jobs for 150 people. The annual capacity of the plant is 18 thousand cubic meters of finished products, and will subsequently increase to 27 thousand.

“Most of the film faced plywood is currently imported in Kazakhstan, i.e. 90 thousand cubic meters annually. Our plant will cover the country’s demand for plywood by 30%. Half of the products will be exported to Turkey, Europe and Uzbekistan. Plywood made in North Kazakhstan region will be in demand, because our birch is considered a high-quality raw material for film faced plywood,” — the akim of the region summed up.
