China is one of the strategic partners of Kazakhstan. As the Head of State noted, bilateral relations have entered a new "golden period", contributing to sustainable development and growth of the well-being of our peoples.
The North Kazakhstan region has traditionally focused on the agricultural sector and has been consistently expanding exports of agricultural products. In the first half of 2025, trade turnover with China amounted to 76 million US dollars, which is higher than last year. The basis of exports are grain and oilseed crops, supplied to China for more than five years. The export of feed flour is becoming a promising direction.
The region is creating conditions for new investments. Projects with the participation of Chinese companies are being implemented on the basis of the Qyzyljar SEZ and its subzones. In the Taiynsha district, the Aijiu corporation is successfully operating, implementing projects for processing oilseeds, producing compound feed and developing a mill complex, and work is also underway to create an agro-industrial park.
New opportunities are also opened by the protocol on the supply of poultry meat, signed between Kazakhstan and China in May 2025. One of the first enterprises ready for export was the Severnyі Broiler poultry farm.
Particular attention is paid to the development of educational cooperation. The North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev is in partnership with Chinese universities, including the North-West University of Agriculture and Forestry. This creates conditions for academic exchanges and joint research.
"Our region is open to the implementation of new projects and strengthening economic, investment and humanitarian ties with the PRC. We aim to hold an international business forum in the North Kazakhstan region with the participation of leading business representatives of the two countries. I am confident that this platform will become an effective tool for expanding business cooperation, promoting joint initiatives and developing interregional partnerships,” the head of the region noted.
