The akim of the region inspected the preparations for the heating season in Petropavl

There is little time left before the start of the 2025-2026 heating season. The bulk of the preparatory work is concentrated in the city of Petropavl. In this regard, the akim of the region inspected the progress of repair work and held an off-site meeting at CHPP-2.

"The issue of preparation for the heating season is under the special control of the Head of State. The President instructed to ensure the timely completion of repair work at the Petropavl CHPP-2, as well as to reconstruct the heat and power supply systems," he emphasized.

To date, the following have been completed:

•major repairs of turbo unit No. 2;

•major repairs of railway tracks;

•current repairs of boiler units No. 1 and No. 4, turbo unit No. 6.

 

Work is underway:

•on the reconstruction of boiler unit No. 2;

•major repairs of boiler units No. 3 and No. 11, turbo unit No. 6;

•routine repairs of the main and auxiliary equipment.

 

All activities are being implemented according to the approved schedule. More than 60% of the planned volume has been completed, which will ensure a stable supply of heat during the upcoming heating season.

"The commissioning of the new chimney is scheduled for the end of September. Thus, by the beginning of the heating season, three chimneys will be functioning at the station," the akim said.

A lot of attention is also being paid to the preparation of the housing stock. Work on flushing and pressure testing of heating systems has already been carried out in 271 apartment buildings in Petropavl. The head of the region instructed the city authorities to strengthen control over this area. All activities must be completed by September 15.
