Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov held a substantive meeting with Vice-Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Bartošek and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kazakhstan Pavol Šepeljak. The meeting discussed the prospects for partnership. Cooperation between the countries is actively developing, especially in the field of agricultural crops and machinery.
"I invited Czech businesses to participate in investment projects in North Kazakhstan region. Our region is open to dialogue and joint implementation of promising initiatives. I am confident that our partnership will only grow stronger," the head of the region noted.
Gauez Nurmukhambetov especially noted the important work within the framework of the agreement on the return of Przewalski horses to their historical homeland in our country from European countries, including the Czech Republic. This is a significant step in preserving the historical and natural heritage. After all, North Kazakhstan region is considered the birthplace of the domestication of these unique horses of the Botai culture. The Czech delegation visited historical sites and landmarks of Petropavl. Of particular interest were the preserved barracks on the territory of the plant — this is where the Czechoslovak legionaries were once stationed. These memorable places serve as a symbol of common history and become another bridge of friendship between our peoples.
