A gift for the City Day: new squares have been opened in Petropavl

Today, the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov, visited new squares in the Podgora and Kozhevenny microdistricts — a wonderful gift to residents for the City Day. Petropavl is changing. The overall goal is to create a comfortable, modern urban environment for every resident.

The new squares are part of a large-scale improvement of the areas affected by last year's flood. Through the efforts of all districts and the city, 74 squares have been created in Podgora and Kozhevenny. Small architectural forms, benches, lighting are being installed, walking areas, children's and sports grounds, volleyball and football fields are being created.

"Special thanks to the entrepreneurs of the districts and the city for their support — your contribution is important for the development and transformation of our city. We are not stopping there. Already in the fall, we are planning to plant trees in the free territories. In Podgora, two modular sports halls for futsal will be built - this will be an excellent contribution to the development of mass sports," the akim of the region noted.

In the NKR, 74 billion tenge were allocated for the development of the water supply system

Today, 97.5% of rural settlements in the region are provided with drinking water — these are 502 villages, where 257 thousand people live. However, there are still 88 villages without a stable water supply.

As part of the implementation of the order of the Head of State to 100% provide the population with high-quality drinking water, work will be completed on the construction of a centralized water supply in 37 villages, through the construction of group water pipelines and the installation of complex block modules in 46 villages.

Thanks to the support of the Government, a significant amount has been allocated for the implementation of projects in the water supply sector — 74 billion tenge, of which 45 billion are from a special state fund.

Following the meeting of the akimat, the head of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov instructed the heads of state bodies and contractors to ensure strict control over the targeted and effective use of funds, the timely completion of all projects in the water supply sector and their further uninterrupted operation.
