"Uly Dala Rukhy": schoolchildren compete in national sports in Beskol

In the village of Beskol, Kyzylzhar district, the regional Spartakiad " Uly Dala Rukhy " — a sports festival among schoolchildren dedicated to national sports is coming to an end.

Over the course of three days, young athletes from all districts of the region, as well as the Petropavl team, demonstrate their skills in such disciplines as:

• assyk atu,
• kazak kuresi,
• togyzkumalak,
• bes assyk,
• kol kuresi (arm wrestling),
• arkan tartu (tug of war).

In total, more than 100 people from 10 teams are participating in the sports contest. For the guys, this is not just a competition — it is an opportunity to touch the cultural heritage, feel the spirit of unity and rivalry, learn more about the sports traditions of their people.

The main goal of the competition is to popularize national sports and attract young people to an active life.

The winners will receive diplomas, and in the fall, the best of them will be able to represent the North Kazakhstan region at the republican stage of the sports contest.
