These measures will make medical care available to 55 thousand villagers. During a meeting with the First Vice Minister of Health, residents of the North Kazakhstan region raised pressing issues related to drug provision, accessibility of medical services, routine vaccination, etc. Timur Sultangaziyev provided detailed explanations for each request, and the Vice Minister took certain issues under his personal control.

Later, during a media briefing, Timur Sultangaziyev commented on current measures to improve the work of clinics, provide drugs, and attract medical workers to the region, noting that all changes are aimed at improving the availability and quality of medical services.

"Thanks to systemic measures, the region has achieved a positive increase in life expectancy: from 73.13 years in 2023 to 73.68 in 2024. There was also a decrease in mortality from injuries - by 8%, from respiratory diseases — by 5%. No cases of maternal mortality were registered in the first 5 months of this year," he said. There are 6.9 thousand medical workers in the region, including 1.7 thousand doctors and 5.2 thousand mid-level medical workers. However, there remains a shortage of 315 doctors and 496 nurses. In this regard, work is underway to improve medical education — in particular, it is planned to introduce differentiated grant sizes, distributing them depending on the level of the educational process.

"In order to expand the availability of screenings, the age of the target group of patients has been increased to 76 years. Evidence-based tests with high sensitivity, such as low-density lipoproteins, glycated hemoglobin, triglycerides are included. Also, from the second half of 2025, screening for early diagnosis of acute cerebrovascular accidents for men over 50 years old is being introduced. From the second half of this year, cancer screenings will be available to the uninsured within the guaranteed volume of medical care," T. Sultangaziyev explained.
