Off-site meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Prevention of Offenses

Today, at the M. Kozybaev North Kazakhstan State University, under the leadership of the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, an off-site meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Prevention of Offenses under the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region was held in the context of the "Law and Order" principle outlined by the Head of State.

The meeting was held in an expanded format — with the participation of the public and experts, which gave the discussion of various initiatives and practical solutions to pressing issues a more open and constructive nature. The choice of the university as a venue for the meeting is not accidental — the state attaches great importance to the prevention of offenses among young people.

The meeting was attended by heads of law enforcement and executive bodies, representatives of the banking sector, educational institutions, the public and the expert community.

 

▪️Two key issues were considered as part of the agenda. The first issue is counteracting financial pyramids, online fraud and illegal gambling. Particular attention was paid to the need to improve the financial literacy of the population, intensify work with second-tier banks. It was instructed to strengthen information and explanatory work and introduce preventive materials into the digital space.

▪️The second issue of the meeting was the crime situation in Petropavl. Following the meeting, specific instructions were given aimed at reducing the crime rate, promoting the ideology of law and order, actively involving the public and deputies in law enforcement issues, and creating a safe environment for residents of the region.

 

Experts emphasized the need to strengthen control over entertainment venues in order to prevent violations of public order, scaling up the "Sober Village" project as a tool for promoting a healthy lifestyle, establishing a systemic fight against drug trafficking, and intensifying preventive work among young people.
