NKR celebrated the 125th anniversary of the outstanding writer Sabit Mukanov

Today, the North Kazakhstan region hosted a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding writer, public figure, classic of Kazakh literature and our fellow countryman, Sabit Mukanov. The conference was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, the writer's daughter Zhanna Mukanov, as well as representatives of the intelligentsia and literary scholars.

On behalf of the Head of State, Malik Otarbayev congratulated all those gathered on the anniversary of Sabit Mukanov. The participants comprehensively examined the spiritual and creative heritage of the writer, and meaningful reports were made.

As part of the anniversary, flowers were laid at the monument to Sabit Mukanov and his memory was honored. The premiere of the play "Moldir Makhabbat" was also held at the Kazakh theater named after Sabit Mukanov, staged based on the classic work of the same name.

"This day became a vivid example of deep respect and gratitude to the great personality who left an indelible mark on the history of Kazakh literature and culture," the head of the region noted.
