In NKR owners of dead birds will receive monetary compensation

The akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov announced that on his page in social networks.

Today, in 11 settlements of 7 districts of the region, quarantine has been introduced due to bird flu. 6 more villages will be added to this list. The operational headquarters is working. The territory is being disinfected. The republican special squad is carrying out the disposal of the dead bird. Vaccination of poultry is underway now. 873 thousand doses of the domestic vaccine were allocated for NKR.

“I want to assure that bird owners whose birds die will receive monetary compensation at market value. A specially created commission is now engaged in this work. It is also important to preserve jobs in the poultry industry and prevent price increases for eggs and poultry meat. The poultry farms have the necessary supply of eggs,” — the head of the region, Kumar Aksakalov wrote.

The regional akim also reminded poultry farmers that it is prohibited to graze poultry on water bodies, it is necessary to provide a closed type of keeping birds, to exclude contact with wild birds.
