As part of the Year of Working Professions, announced on the initiative of the President, the Festival of Working Professions was held in the village of Yavlenka. At the festival, 20 colleges presented their educational programs, told young people about in-demand working professions, employment prospects and opportunities for technical education. The Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov got acquainted with the capabilities of colleges in training qualified workers. "Today, 15 colleges in the region are systematically working to open 16 new specialties, 14 of which are blue-collar jobs. In the near future, training of field workers, seed growers, poultry farmers, bakers and other in-demand specialists will begin. In Petropavl, with the support of employers, specialized classes are being created in schools in the areas of "auto mechanic" and "electrician," the head of the region noted.
In the context of a shortage of blue-collar workers in the region, a decision was made to increase the volume of state orders for the training of blue-collar jobs — by 105 grants, up to 1,742 places. It should be noted that the current employment rate of graduates is 98%.
For early career guidance of schoolchildren, colleges organized competitions "Junior Skills", "Best in Profession", professional skills championships — 7 thousand graduates were covered. 29 thousand schoolchildren visited enterprises and saw with their own eyes how the region's economy is being created. The regional WorldSkills championship brought together 3 thousand young professionals. At the republican WorldSkills championship, our students won 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Competitions, a forum of young leaders of blue-collar jobs, master classes, as well as the development of an Atlas of new professions are planned until the end of the year. All these steps are aimed at generating interest among young people in blue-collar jobs, helping them make an informed choice of their future profession and contributing to the strengthening of the region's human resources potential.
