TED-X conference "Peace through responsibility" was held in NKR

A conference called "Peace through responsibility: your choice is your country" was held in Petropavl, organized within the framework of the "Law and order" program. The event gathered several dozen young people who are not indifferent to the issues of safety and health of society in the regional universal scientific library named after Sabit Mukanov.

The main topic of the meeting was three serious social threats - gambling addiction, drug addiction and domestic violence. Experts spoke about the causes of these phenomena, their consequences for the individual and society, and also emphasized the importance of timely seeking help — both for themselves and for others.

The goal of the conference is to encourage young people to take a conscious attitude to social challenges, strengthen a sense of personal responsibility for the future of the country and form an active civic position. Open dialogue has become a tool for exchanging opinions, forming sustainable life guidelines and discussing ways to solve current problems. According to the Police Department, 128 criminal offenses related to illegal drug trafficking have been identified in the region since the beginning of the year. About 35 kilograms of prohibited substances have been confiscated, and about 560 preventive measures have been taken. The conference participants noted its importance, emphasizing that the event provided an opportunity to take a fresh look at pressing social issues and became an incentive for self-development and a more responsible attitude to life.
