In order to ensure the quality and safety of livestock products, it is not allowed to slaughter farm animals in places that do not meet veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) requirements. Therefore, the slaughter of farm animals for subsequent sale is carried out only at meat processing enterprises, slaughterhouses or sites for the slaughter of farm animals. These Rules for the slaughter of farm animals are developed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Veterinary Medicine" and determine the procedure for organizing the slaughter of farm animals intended for subsequent sale.
When slaughtering at slaughterhouses or meat processing enterprises, the veterinarian of the laboratory of veterinary and sanitary examination or the production control unit, as well as when slaughtering animals at slaughter sites, the veterinarian performs:
When farm animals are slaughtered at slaughterhouses or meat processing plants, the carcass is accompanied by a veterinary certificate based on an examination certificate (test report) issued by veterinary laboratories based on the results of diagnostics or veterinary and sanitary examination of moved (transported) objects. The veterinary certificate indicates the date of issue and the number of the examination certificate (test report) issued by a specialist in the field of veterinary medicine of state veterinary organizations.
When farm animals are slaughtered at slaughter sites, the carcass is accompanied by a veterinary certificate on the well-being of the territory where the farm animals came from, indicating the results of the pre-slaughter veterinary examination of the animal and the post-slaughter veterinary examination of carcasses and organs, issued by a specialist in the field of veterinary medicine of state veterinary organizations.
Before sale, carcasses and organs obtained as a result of the slaughter of farm animals at a slaughter site (a site for the slaughter of farm animals) undergo a veterinary and sanitary examination.
The sale of products (meat and meat products) and raw materials of animal origin on the markets is allowed if there are veterinary documents confirming the slaughter of the farm animal.
These activities are aimed at ensuring food safety and guaranteeing the quality of products for the health of consumers.
In this regard, a ban has been implemented on the yard slaughter of farm animals and the sale of products that are not under the control of veterinary services.
Dear residents of the North Kazakhstan region! We often come across facts of spontaneous trade in livestock products (meat, milk, eggs).
In these places, trade is carried out in violation of sanitary standards, without veterinary documents confirming the safety and quality of products, as well as the sale of products of unknown origin.
By purchasing livestock products in places of spontaneous trade, you are at risk of contracting salmonellosis, brucellosis, parasitic diseases, as well as the risk of acute intestinal infection and food poisoning.
Be vigilant, do not buy food in places of spontaneous trade.
