Working visit of Acting Chairman of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in North Kazakhstan region on the epizootic situation of avian influenza

Republican Commission headed by Acting Chairman of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abyzbaev B.K., General Director of the National Reference Center for Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berdikulov M.A. with the participation of the district akim Magzhan Zhumabaev K.K. Omarov, the head of the veterinary department of the region B.A. Alzhanov, the head of the regional territorial inspectorate M.K. Ibraev. visited the unsuccessful point for bird flu, the village of Lebyazhye, Magzhan Zhumabayeva district.

During the visit, the epizootic situation was studied, the reservoir was monitored, the scale of the elimination of the disease was determined, and explanatory work was carried out among the population.

For timely and prompt localization and elimination of the focus of infection, a plowing was carried out along the perimeter of the settlement, a disinfection barrier was installed for disinfection of entering and leaving vehicles.

In order to interrupt the epizootic chain, a decision was made to destroy the entire population of birds in the outbreak. Owners of the seized and destroyed poultry will be compensated in full.

The epizootic situation is under control, measures are being taken to prevent the spread of infection to other settlements of the region (vaccinations, explanatory work among the population, control over the movement of live poultry and poultry products).
