Pet owners were reminded of the rules of keeping and walking dogs and cats

As you know, any pet is not a toy, but a living being, to which it is necessary to show a humane attitude and responsibility and which requires careful handling. On the other hand, children and adults should be aware that the animal, if not properly cared for and handled, can become a source of increased danger to others.

When keeping pets, their owners must comply with the general requirements for keeping animals, as well as the rights and legitimate interests of persons living in an apartment building in the premises of which pets are kept.

Walking pets should be carried out subject to the mandatory provision of the safety of citizens, animals, the safety of property of individuals and legal entities.

When walking a pet, you must comply with the following requirements:

• exclude the possibility of free, uncontrolled movement of an animal when crossing the carriageway of a motor road, in elevators and common areas of apartment buildings, in the courtyards of such houses, on children’s and sports grounds;
• ensure the cleaning of animal waste products in places and in common areas;
• animals that are in public places without accompanying persons, except for those left by their owners on a leash at enterprises and institutions, are considered stray and are subject to compulsory capture by specialized organizations;
• in crowded places, public transport and other public places (on buses at storage areas), keep dogs on a short leash and in a muzzle. Dogs of decorative breeds and cats are allowed to be transported in bags, in specially designed cages (containers for transfer).
