Republican action "Safe School Bus"

From August 9 to September 20, 2021, the republican action "Safe school bus" started in North Kazakhstan region.

Purpose of the Action: ensuring road safety when organizing the transportation of students to places of study, preventing road accidents when transporting children by school buses.

Qualitative composition of participants: children of preschool and school age, representatives of interested state bodies, commissions for minors and the protection of their rights, parental community, institutions, labor collectives, non-governmental organizations, the media, local police services, etc.

Content and format of the Promotion:

The slogan is “For a safe school bus”.

Within the framework of the action it is planned:

Study of the activities of local executive bodies on the organization of school transportation:

  • the state of the motor transport for compliance with the technical requirements for motor transport, information about the technical inspection of the motor transport, the driver's staff (availability of the relevant categories, driving experience, discipline behind the wheel), the presence of a route scheme;
  • safety of access roads to the school (lighting of the territory, pedestrian crossings, the presence of a sign "Children", the creation of artificial road irregularities "lying police", etc.);
  • the presence of special light (flashing beacons) and sound signals on the vehicle (bus) carrying children;
  • the presence of operating video surveillance cameras to the access roads to the school, pedestrian crossings;
  • Conducting briefings with school bus drivers on ensuring road safety and the inadmissibility of traffic violations, as well as the mandatory use of alarm signals when boarding and disembarking children.
