To the clergy about the referendum

On September 9, the head of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region, R. Kasenova, held an information hour on the topic "Peaceful atom". The event was attended by the heads of religious associations of the region. The participants of the meeting considered the issue of nuclear power plant construction as the most important decision on the way to ensuring energy independence and security of Kazakhstan.  A new generation nuclear power plant with the most modern technologies to ensure the highest global safety standards will not have a negative impact on nature and people, as proven by constant research and observations of the population living near nuclear power plants in different regions of the world. In conclusion, the leaders of the religious associations of the region came to a common opinion that they, together with all North Kazakhstanis, will express their civic position in the upcoming referendum.
