INTERACTION WITH THE MEDIA

On May 28 this year, at the initiative of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan Region, a training seminar was held for a pool of journalists covering the field of counter-terrorism, including during the anti-terrorist operation. The event was attended by representatives of regional TV channels and regional print media.

The mass media, being today the most important means of social communication in the field of countering terrorism and extremism, are designed to provide timely and reliable information about current events.

The participants of the meeting were informed about the main positions of coverage of situations related to extremism, recommended ideologies and guidelines for the media, terminology and concepts used. The head of the authorized body in the field of religion stressed that mistakes, misinterpretation of various religious issues can have a negative impact on the perception of published materials, create conditions for social contradictions
