TRAINING SEMINAR FOR MEMBERS OF INFORMATION AND EXPLANATORY GROUPS AT all levels
On August 17-18, 2023, a training seminar on the topic "Methods of organizing and conducting awareness-raising, counter-propaganda and rehabilitation work aimed at discrediting the ideology of religious extremism and terrorism" was held within the framework of the state-sponsored collegial order of the Department for Religious Affairs of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region.
The event is aimed at the formation of traditional spiritual and moral values of the Kazakh society, the promotion of secularism, the prevention of religious extremism, as well as the clarification of the main directions of state policy in the religious sphere.
Members of information and explanatory groups of the region at all levels, heads of departments of internal policy of districts and Petropavlovsk, secretaries of ATK-advisers of akims of districts, representatives of law enforcement and special bodies of the region, theologians of correctional institutions of the region and branches of the DUMK, specialists working in the religious sphere are invited to the training event.
The speakers of the event were leading experts in the field of religion: D. Zhakiyanov - analyst of the NGO "N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue"; M.S. Toyganov - head of the training center for the training of specialists of the UIS on countering the ideology of extremism of the Academy named after Sh. Kabylbayev, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Master of Psychology, political scientist; A.B. Seifullina.- Forensic expert of the Alliance of Independent Forensic Expertise and Specialized Research, Master of Social Sciences, Political scientist, Astana; Kayyrgeldy Ruslan - head of the rehabilitation center, naib imam of the main city mosque of Almaty; Baymukhametova R.S.-head of the Center for Psychology and Personality Development Ruh", Petropavlovsk.
During the seminar, the participants studied new methods of working in narrow target groups and gained practical skills aimed at forming immunity among the population to destructive religious ideology.
At the end of the event, methodological brochures were distributed to the participants and certificates of completion of the training seminar were awarded.
