TRAINING SEMINAR for clergymen «SPIRITUAL HARMONY — THE BASIS OF INTERFAITH DIALOGUE»

On August 16, 2023, within the framework of the planned projects of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region, a training seminar was held for the clergy of the regional branch of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan on the topic "Spiritual harmony is the basis of interfaith dialogue".

At the event, the speakers were leading experts in the field of religion: M.S. Toyganov - head of the Center for Training specialists of the UIS on countering extremist Ideology of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Sh. Kabylbayev, Kostanay, police Lieutenant Colonel, Master of Psychology, political scientist; Ruslan Kayyrgeldy - head of the rehabilitation center, naib Imam of the main city mosque of Almaty; A.N. Orazbayev.-President of the Uakyp Foundation, Yermurat Nazaruly - editor of the website muftyat.kz ., specialist of the Internet sector of the DUMK, Adilbekov H.K.-chief imam of the regional mosque "Kyzylzhar".

During the seminar, the participants considered the following issues:

• ethics of the priest, integrity and anti-corruption behavior;
• methods of information and explanatory work among the parishioners of mosques;
• basic principles of preventive work with persons exposed to the ideology of destructive religious movements;
• work in social networks aimed at discrediting the ideology of extremism and terrorism;
• organization and conduct of charitable activities.

At the end of the event, thematic methodological brochures were distributed to the participants and certificates of completion of the training seminar were awarded.
