REPUBLICAN INFORMATION AND EXPLANATORY GROUP IN THE NORTH KAZAKHSTAN REGION OF PETROPAVLOVSK

On June 12, 2023, a training seminar was organized on the basis of the regional scientific library named after S. Mukanov as part of a project implemented by the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Department for Religious Affairs of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan Region.The event was attended by members of information and explanatory groups of all levels, employees of the DUIS of the North Kazakhstan Region (theologians and psychologists), the ATC of the DKNB of the North Kazakhstan Region, the Prosecutor's Office of the North Kazakhstan Region, the UPE DP of the North Kazakhstan Region, the USSO of the North Kazakhstan Region, heads of the ORP and secretaries of anti-terrorist commissions of the district akims' offices.

The speakers of the training seminar were members of the Republican Information and Explanatory Group, leading experts in the field of religion: Dolievzhapalamzebekuly-head of the Department for the Coordination of Prevention of Religious Extremism in the Internet space of the CDR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Toyganovmyrzabexardarbekuly – psychologist, head of the training center for the training of specialists of the UIS on countering the ideology of extremism of the Academy named after Sh. Kabylbayev, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kostanay; Saduev Rustam Serikuly is the regional head of the "Akniet" and Omarov Turgangelmanuly is a specialist theologian of the "Akniet", Akmola region.

The following topics were discussed at the event: "Modern methods of working with the population, including in the Internet space","Methods of identifying supporters of destructive religious movements", "Countering the possibility of the emergence and spread of destructive religious ideology, including in institutions of the penal system","Strategic planning of a set of measures to prevent extremism and terrorism".

Within the framework of the Project, members of the RIRG held a set of events in the city of Petropavlovsk with various target groups:

  • thematic seminar for employees of the regional Prosecutor's Office, DKNB of the North Kazakhstan Region, UPE DP of the North Kazakhstan Region, USSO SCOpoteme "Identification of persons inclined to commit crimes of a terrorist nature";
  • a seminar with healthcare professionals on the topic:"Beware of an alien religion, religious literacy is the key to a safe society";
  • meetings with women's jamagats of the regional central regional mosque "Kyzylzhar", city mosques "Kyzylzhar" and "Nur" on the following topics:"Strengthening of traditional, cultural and family values of Kazakhstan society";
  • a seminar with employees of the Department of juvenile Policyup of Petropavlovsk and a category of socially vulnerable women on the topic: "Methods of recruitment into destructive pseudo-religious movements";
  • a meeting with the clergy of the Moscow State Duma on the topic: "Propaganda of spiritual and moral values, culture, customs and traditions";
  • meeting with the Council of Elders of the regional mosque "Kyzylzhar", the city mosque "Nur" on the topic:"The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the sphere of religion as the basis of state policy on countering the ideology of radicalism";
  • meeting with students studying within the framework of the social project "Serpin" on the following topics: "Discourses about hijab in Kazakhstan's social networks" and "The dangers of receiving religious education abroad".

During the week, similar events will be held in the districts of the region.
