Training seminar for members of awareness-raising groups

On October 27, 2022, the opening of a two-day training seminar "Peculiarities of organizing and conducting a complex of general preventive measures aimed at discrediting the ideology of religious extremism and terrorism" was held for members of information and explanatory groups at all levels, law enforcement officers, heads and specialists of the departments of internal policy, culture and language development of akimats of districts and the city of Petropavlovsk, specialists of the department analysis and development of interfaith relations of KSU "TSORI".

On the first day of the training seminar, a course of theoretical and practical classes was organized for members of information and explanatory groups.

The speakers at the event were leading experts in the field of religion, members of the Republican information and explanatory group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan: D. B. Esenova — Master of Religious Studies, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NGO "N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue" with topics "Organization and holding of events in the Internet space aimed at counter-propaganda of the ideology of extremism and terrorism" and "Methods of working with narrow target groups and SMM promotion in social networks"; Mustafina T. V. — PhD, senior lecturer of the Department of Philosophy at ENU. L. N. Gumilyova with the theme "Methodological aspects of information and preventive work on religious issues in target groups"; Adilbekov H. K. theologian, member of the regional specialized information and explanatory group, chief imam of the regional central mosque "Kyzylzhar" with the theme "Zhat agym nesimen tartymdy".

During the seminar, the participants studied new methods of working in narrow target groups and gained practical skills aimed at forming immunity among the population to destructive religious ideology.
