In Shymkent, there are 215 large, medium and small enterprises specializing in the production of construction materials. For six months of this year, they have produced products worth 34.2 billion tenge. Compared to the same period last year, the volume index increased by 4.5 percent.
The share of construction materials production in the total volume of industrial production was 13.2%. In order to develop domestic production of construction materials in the city in 2020-2021, it is planned to implement 9 investment projects. The total cost of the projects is 2.9 billion tenge. In particular, next year projects will be launched for the production of reinforced concrete products, fiberglass, gas blocks, asphalt concrete, paving slabs, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, thermoplastics, finishing materials and dry building mixes.
It should be noted that the share of construction materials of domestic production at the construction sites of Shymkent city today is 98 percent.
