SHYMKENT: THE CITY MAYOR CRITICIZED THE WORK OF COMMUNAl SERVICES
Shymkent mayor Murat Aitenov criticized the work of communal services and demanded that the relevant heads establish order in this area.
At the meeting, where the issues of installing garbage containers on the territory of Shymkent were considered, the mayor noted that residents still have many complaints about garbage removal.
"During the visits, I see that the work of communal services has not been not streamlined. No sanitary cleaning works are carried out on garbage sites. Garbage containers on city streets and bins at bus stops are constantly overfilled with garbage. This indicates the lack of control on the part of the district mayor's office, " the city mayor said.
Murat Aitenov made a comment to the district mayors and acting head of the energy and housing and communal services directorate N. Zhamankoz and instructed to install garbage containers on time.
In addition, the mayor stressed that the order on installation of special garbage sites on the territory of the private sector was not fulfilled at the proper level.
Summing up the meeting, the head of the city reminded that he will personally control the execution of orders.
In Shymkent, there are 2039 garbage containers at 488 garbage sites, 633 of them are in a poor condition. On the territory of multi-storey residential buildings, an additional 762 containers must be installed. It is also planned to install 1,474 eco-containers, which will be purchased this year, as well as replace outdated garbage containers and additionally install them in the missing places.
