"BIRGEMIZ" FUND HAS ALLOCATED LUMP-SUM ASSISTANCE TO 40 THOUSAND FAMILIES OF SHYMKENT

The meeting discussed the work carried out by the Republican public Fund "Birgemiz" created on the initiative of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev, measures of social support of the population in crisis conditions, the implementation status of the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan K.Zh. Tokayev, given during the visit of the first Deputy Chairman of the party B. Baibek to Shymkent and the reception of citizens by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan A. Mamin.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy mayor of Shymkent G. Yergeshbek noted that 1.5 billion tenge was allocated to reimburse the costs of utility providers in the conditions of emergency.
"17,586 applications of citizens were approved for reimbursement of utility costs during the state of emergency, 8333 of them will be compensated in May. Remaining applications are under review,"- said N. Yergeshbek.
Mayor of Al-Farabi district G. Maulenkulov noted that the residents of the 195th block will be provided with quality drinking water by the end of the year. In this block, the construction and installation works of electric networks were completed. Now work is underway to connect the object to electricity and subscription.
The Abay district mayor B. Parmanov informed about the construction of a multi-storey building No. 1A on M. Vodopyanov street.
According to him, as a result of emergency state, 42 families were left without housing. 22 families that do not have housing at all are provided with places in dormitories, the rest are placed with relatives. And 25 families received financial assistance in the amount of 1 million tenge. Currently, a 5-storey residential building is under construction, which will be commissioned in September.
At the meeting, the mayor of Karatau district A. Alikulov told about the construction of engineering and communication networks in the districts "Tasken" and "Azat".
After hearing the reports of district mayors, the head of the city reminded that the work should be performed in a timely and high-quality manner.

"From the Republican public Fund "Birgemiz", 50 thousand tenge was transferred to the personal accounts of more than 40 thousand citizens for a total amount of 2.8 billion tenge. As part of action, more than 8 thousand families were provided with a food package and a million masks were distributed free of charge. 60 families in the settlement " Eltay" affected by the flood were distributed food and hygiene products, " -said B.
