A COVID-19 INFECTION DETECTION LABORATORY WORKS AROUND THE CLOCK IN SHYMKENT

There is a round-the-clock laboratory at the center for AIDS prevention and control under the Health Directorate of Shymkent city. Here, the medical specialists carry out a test for coronavirus infection by polymerase chain reaction within 24 hours.
The center has organized a laboratory examination of patients with suspected COVID-19 infection and related citizens, as well as persons who arrived from abroad.
In connection with the epidemiological situation, 2 shifts (12 hours) have been organized to ensure the continuity of laboratory services to the population. Center has 8 employees, including 3 laboratory specialists, 3 laboratory assistants, 2 junior medical personnel. Specialists pay special attention to the importance of issue and work responsibly.
