MORE THAN 300 KM OF ROADS WILL BE REPAIRED IN SHYMKENT THIS YEAR
Road construction works did not stop in Shymkent during the quarantine period. Construction companies carry out their work by performing all precautions in accordance with the deadlines.
In order to develop the city roads quality, 26.9 billion tenge was allocated from the republican and local budgets in 2020 for construction and repair works of 256 objects. 417.3 km of roads and 7 bridges, 2 crossings, 1 exit to the right and 1 overpass will be repaired. As a result, it is planned to put into operation 240 objects 314.7 km of roads, 6 bridges and 1 overpass by the end of the year. In addition, 536.5 million tenge was allocated for the installation of 260 bus stops on the" Employment roadmap".
Under this program, 3,119 people were employed, 1,621 of them were employed through the employment center.
One of the most important streets under construction in the city is Republic Avenue and Ryskulov street. The total length of the Republic Avenue is 5.3 km, width is 2x14m, the total sum of the object is 2,394. 0 million tenge. The total length of T. Ryskulov street is 4.2 km, width is 2x7m. Construction works will be carried out between Baitursynov street and Al-Farabi street.
Besides, trafficway along the Badam river will continue along D. Konayev Avenue. The 99-meter object is expected to be completed by the end of May.
