MERITOCRACY PRINCIPLES ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED

Dear residents of Shymkent city! To date, there are 55 state agencies operating in Shymkent. The total population is 1 million 46 thousand people, the number of civil servants of local Executive bodies is 676 people, civil servants of territorial state bodies is 1256 people. 10 of them are political, and 1922 are administrative.
The number of women in the public service is 965 (50%), including 124 (13%) in executive positions.
The number of young people under the age of 29 is 471(24.4%).
However, the average age of civil servants is 38 years, and the average work experience is 9.8 years.
Besides, in accordance with the strategic directions, goals and target indicators of the Strategic plan of Civil service agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2021, the level of net turnover in the civil service should not exceed 7.3%.
In this regard, under the above-mentioned Strategic plan, the level of net turnover of civil servants in Shymkent city was 0.97% according to quarter I data.
A competition was announced for 286 administrative public positions, 696 citizens took part in the competition, 127 of them were appointed to the civil service. According to an internal competition, 39 civil servants were promoted on the meritocracy principle. An average of 6 citizens took part in the general competition for one administrative state position.
