SHYMKENT: MEDICAL WORKERS WHO ARE FIGHTING THE EPIDEMIC ARE PROVIDED WITH APPROPRIATE ASSISTANCE

Today, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a statement in connection with the emergency situation in the country. The specific measures have been taken up to the present day due to the introduction of quarantine restrictions in Shymkent city.
As a result, the epidemiological situation is stabilizing, and a number of restrictions are being lifted in the city from today. However, for the safety of residents in Shymkent, the quarantine regime will continue until May 25. At the same time, 18 roadblocks are currently operating at the city's exits. All situations are under strict control.
As of today, 233 people with a coronavirus infection have been recorded in the city. In total, 130 citizens have recovered. Currently, 117 people are treated at the Shymkent city infectious diseases hospital. There are 32 hotbeds of a dangerous epidemic in the city.  A special algorithm has been approved for people who have come into contact with infected citizens, constant monitoring is conducted, and appropriate treatment is provided in a timely manner, " - said the first Deputy mayor of the city.
It is worth noting that in connection with the quarantine regime, an assistance is provided for a number of citizens working in the health sector. In other words, salary increments are paid. In addition, special places in hotels are provided for doctors and nurses working in dangerous centers. The hotels also housed specialists who carry out laboratory works and disinfection. In addition, 300 health workers are isolated in two dormitories in the city and continue to work.
