MORE THAN HALF A MILLION SHYMKENT RESIDENTS HAVE APPLIED FOR WELFARE ASSISTANCE

As of 1 May 2020, a special portal for getting welfare benefits during the emergency have received 534 493 applications from residents of Shymkent.
Welfare payments were assigned for 277,555 citizens, and for 253,216 residents it was refused.
Of the 277,555 citizens who are assigned welfare benefits, 264,773 are assigned on application, and 12,782 are assigned proactively (recipients of targeted social assistance and citizens who have made a single aggregate payment). To date, social payments in the amount of 42,500 tenge have been transferred to the accounts of 265,552 citizens.
It should be noted that appeals that were refused to assign payments were submitted repeatedly, received from working citizens, pensioners, as well as on behalf of deceased persons.
