SHYMKENT: M. AITENOV GOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION WORKS IN ABAY DISTRICT

Over the next three years, the road issue in Shymkent will be fully resolved, and this year gravel will be laid on the dirt roads on the outskirts of the city. This was announced by the city mayor Murat Aitenov who got acquainted with the construction work in Abay district and met with local residents.

- Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and the head of the state K. Tokayev pays special attention to the socio-economic development of Shymkent city. This year, 440 billion tenge has been allocated from treasury to the city. The provided funds must be used for their intended purpose. This will improve the infrastructure and raise a potential of the entire area. Therefore, we make every effort to develop the city, - said M. Duysenbekuly.

There are about 323 thousand residents in the Abay district with a total area of 49,704 hectares. 10 out of 34 microdistricts and settlements joined to the city in 2014 from the former South Kazakhstan region. At present, actual works are carried out in the district with an indicator of clean drinking water supply of 78.5%, and main water pipelines are built to cover 5 settlements with drinking water.

In addition, drinking water systems are being installed in Zhanatalap, Kyzylzhar, Igilik, Tauelsizdikke 20 zhyl, Kokbulak, Yntymak-2, 7232 houses in the Soltustik settlement. Upon completion of the planned work, 86% of the district's population will be provided with clean drinking water.
This year, 1,099.6 million tenge was provided from the budget for the repair of 49 streets of the Abay district and extensive repairs are underway. Over the past 10 years, children's playgrounds and 50 sports grounds have been installed in 219 yards in the district. Only last year, playgrounds were built in 45 courtyards as part of a public and private partnership.

This year, 637.4 million tenge was allocated for the construction of playgrounds in 41 yards, and 131.5 million tenge were allocated for the installation of 8 sports grounds. The head of the city noted that there is a large-scale work in the Abay district and instructed officials to pay attention to the quality of all facilities under construction and constant control.

During the trip, M. Aitenov got acquainted with the construction of an 85-apartment house on Vodopyanov Street, which is built to replace the burned house. He instructed the Client JSC "SEC" Shymkent "and the Contractor" Otau Stroy " to complete the construction works in honor of the City Day and to hand over the keys to residents ahead of schedule.
