SHYMKENT: ABOUT 100 THOUSAND PEOPLE RECEIVED ASSISTANCE IN ABAY DISTRICT
Today, the information and communication center of Shymkent hosted an online briefing with the participation of Abay district mayor Bukharbay Parmanov on the ongoing work in the district on combating the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Bukharbay Ryskululy, in connection with the emergency situation, a number of social services are provided to residents of the district. In order to provide food for the quarantined residential area "Tauelsizdikke 20 zhil", the free food baskets were delivered to 107 families as part of "Biz birgemiz" campaign. Besides, 716 families received free food by sponsors 'Gramad", "Karls krona" and "Kazybek" market. In addition, Profax provided food baskets to 150 low-income families.
- Currently, the locality has been removed from 14 days quarantine, but due to the fact that 2 infected people have been discharged, the streets where these people live are quarantined in order to take preventive measures. In General, to date, 5 out of 21 hotbeds in the district have been taken from the quarantine mode, 16 hotbeds are in quarantine mode, in all hotbeds the population is provided with food and other necessary items, daily disinfection is carried out, - said the mayor of the district.
As part of " Biz birgemiz " campaign, 250,000 pieces of free masks have been distributed to pensioners, disabled citizens and 32,000 pieces to to low-income families. The state social food package is distributed to low-income families through Magnum. At present, 1,454 packages have been distributed to 1,890 families with children aged 1-3 years, and 1,596 packages have been distributed to 2,253 families with children aged 3 to 6 years.
In total, there are 4 roadblocks on the territory of Abay district. At the posts in the settlements of Akzhar, Aktas, Kursay, the explanatory work is carried out by specialists of district mayor's office. Disinfection has been carried out in 34 settlements, 582 streets and 700 entrances out of 1,811 in 453 multi-storey buildings. Since April 4 of this year, a quarantine regime has been introduced in Shymkent, and the work of a number of business objects has been suspended.
