SHYMKENT PUPILS ARE IN THE FIRST PLACE IN THE COUNTRY FOR LEARNING ON INTERNET PLATFORMS

In Shymkent, there are 213 educational organizations in the distance learning format. These are 172 comprehensive schools with 222,037 pupils, 30 colleges (26,308) and 10 higher education institutions (106,723). 27,005 teachers work at these institutions.
On April 6, the fourth quarter of distance learning began in schools. Out of 222,037 pulils, 827 are included in inclusive education. 702 children received rehabilitation classes by WhatsApp, and 125 students were released from classes on the basis of parents ' statements for health reasons.96.7% of pulils, which is 214,613 children, are engaged through the Internet, mobile phones, tablets at home. The rest-7,424 puplis are taught through television lessons. All 17,253 school teachers are provided with computer equipment and Internet. Our students are ranked first in the country in terms of learning on Internet platforms.
There are additional platforms on educational resources - "Daryn. online", "Bilimland.kz", electronic journals "Kundelik.KZ" (166 schools) and "I-mektep" (6). 
According to the Directorate of education, there are 30,364 children from low-income families in the city. 17 616 of them are in need of computers. This problem was solved by temporarily delivering of 10,192 school computers to them and temporarily connecting them to the Internet at the expense of funds provided by schools. Now,  work on the acquisition of a further nine thousand computers is under process. 
At the moment, 16,700 teachers  work remotely, 519-in full-time, 34 teachers are on vacation.
