This was announced at a briefing by Deputy mayor of the city Maksut Isakhov.
Aizhan Dosymbekova, Deputy Director of the Shymkent regional branch of JSC "Halyk Bank", and Akhatay Tleukeyev, Director of the ShCB "Bank home Credit", also described the bank's operation in emergency mode.
"Now there lot of people who want to get their pensions and payments at Bank branches and bank machines are crowded. This is a big risk for the spread of the coronavirus. Therefore, it is planned to transfer the acceptance of Bank payments from the population to an electronic format, via mobile applications. There will also be cashless payments at markets and sales outlets. One may order cards by calling Bank branches, or apply online. Second-tier banks will start working in this format as early as next Monday, " said the Deputy mayor.
Banks are strengthening security measures. For example, Kaspi Bank has placed four additional cartomats on the city territory. Residents get ready-made cards in them by ordering them online in advance. And "Kazpost" offers a service for the delivery of pensions to people over 65 years of age.
All Bank branches have a one-meter distance rule between clients. And 100 volunteers were involved in regulating the work of bank machines. They place people in queues and help them get money. A police officer is assigned to each bank machines to keep order.
