Transport and transit vehicles that ensure the city's vital activity should pass through the roadblocks without hindrance. This was stated by the mayor of the city Murat Aitenov.
He conducted a visit to three roadblocks-Akzhar on the Tashkent-Almaty-Termez highway of international significance, Badam on the Shymkent-Samara route with an exit from the city to Turkestan, and Bozaryk, located on the Western Europe-Western China transport corridor.
The mayor instructed to organize a "green corridor" at all posts. Vehicles that ensure the city's vital activity, transit cargo and other special equipment will pass here without hindrance.
Drivers of vehicles and passengers who are in their cabin are subject to mandatory registration and medical equipment inspection. To do this, medical workers and representatives of competent authorities work at roadblocks around the clock.
M. Aitenov advised passengers who are currently at roadblocks return home in accordance with the requirements of the new regime. He noted that even in the case of transport restrictions, about 200 thousand people will pass through the city. Shymkent is located at the junction of nine roads, so the mayor called for maximum strengthening of security measures.
We remind that now18 roadblocks operate in Shymkent.
