SAMGAU SENIM CENTER PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 300 VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
The head of the Directorate of Employment and Social Protection of Shymkent city Balmarzhan Narbekova visited the Samgau Senim Center subordinate to the directorate, where she got acquainted with the quality of services provided. She also talked with the recipients of services, listened to their wishes.
The Samgau Senim Center provides social assistance to low-income families, mothers with many children who have been subjected to domestic violence. Today, the crisis center provides services to about 25 girls and children experiencing various difficulties. All of them need social and legal support.
It should be noted that work is carried out here with persons who have been subjected to domestic violence in 9 areas. In particular, in the social and legal direction, the center's lawyers provide support for the dissolution of marriage, registration of documents for alimony, obtaining a child's birth certificate and a copy of a court decision, opening a blocked personal account, investigating a criminal case against service recipients. In addition, professional psychologists help them get out of stress and get back on their feet.
In general, the Samgau Senim center has been operating since 2019. During this time, 579 people received asylum and social assistance. Since the beginning of the year, services have been provided to 311 citizens.
The requests and suggestions made during the meeting by the service recipients were taken under control by the management of directorate.
