ONCOLOGICAL SURGERY WAS PERFORMED BY ENDOSCOPIC METHOD IN SHYMKENT FOR THE FIRST TIME
For the first time, an operation on esophageal cancer without incisions was performed at the Shymkent Cancer Center. A master class for Shymkent doctors at the central base for performing complex endoscopic operations was conducted by the oncosurgeon of the Sofie Med clinic in Aktau, Mukhamedzhan Nurgaziev.
A complex operation was performed by an endoscopic method with the participation of an Aktau doctor. To eliminate the esophageal tumor, local oncologists previously performed an open operation. Complications after such an operation are more common, experts say.
Now, with the help of a specialist from Aktau, doctors have mastered a technique that contributes to the rapid recovery of the patient by removing a tumor in the esophagus without incisions.
"We have done such an operation in the open before. Since the operation was complicated, there were many complications. At this master class, we learned how to perform operations without incisions, without opening the chest and abdomen. This operation is carried out for the first time in the southern region. The endoscopic method has some advantages. We are ready to perform an operation using a new method, we have all the necessary equipment, " says Samat Tastemuly, Deputy of the Center for Surgery.
In addition, during the exchange of experience, frameless operations were performed on two patients with tumors of the thyroid gland, kidneys, and stomach cancer.
