ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF 7.3 BILLION TENGE WAS PROVIDED TO SOCIALLY VULNERABLE FAMILIES
For 5 months of this year, 36,969 low-income families in Shymkent received assistance worth 7.3 billion tenge. 34,193 children aged 1 to 6 years from among the recipients of social assistance through the shopping center "Gramad" were issued guaranteed social packages in the amount of 131,392 pieces.
This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Shymkent Yergali Bilisbekov during a briefing for media representatives. The deputy mayor of the city elaborated on the work carried out in the first 5 months of 2021 in the field of employment and social protection.
- It should be noted that targeted social assistance is a temporary state financial support for low-income citizens. To improve the well-being of citizens, first of all, we must provide jobs for the unemployed. In this regard, within the framework of the state program "Enbek", it is planned to cover 21,841 people with employment measures this year, 9,155 people were covered by the results of 5 months of 2021, so the plan was implemented by 41.9 percent, "- said Deputy mayor of the city Yergali Bilisbekov.
For 5 months of 2021, 961 people were sent to learn the basics of entrepreneurship under the "Bastau Business" project, 7 citizens were issued micro-loans, 584-state grants, 3,750 people were employed, 175 people - for social jobs, 870 people were sent to "youth practice", 2,808 people - for paid public works. That is, the work on covering citizens with employment measures is carried out systematically.
Much attention is also paid to social support for veterans, low-income people and citizens with disabilities. To date, the number of pensioners in Shymkent is 81,241. Of these, 20 veterans of the Second World War and 3244 home front workers. The number of mothers with many children is 43,281, of which 10,198 are awarded the Altyn Alka and Kumis Alka pendants, 794 are children left without parental care, 5,761 are children with disabilities, and 490 are people with severe forms of some chronic diseases. 13 types of one-time and monthly assistance are provided, and one-time assistance is paid for holidays and memorable dates. On request, passes are issued to health resort institutions.
Since the beginning of the year, the opportunity to order the necessary tools and services for citizens with disabilities through the Social Services Portal has been launched. That is, citizens with disabilities have created conditions for ordering 55 types of technical means of rehabilitation and 3 types of services through the Social Services Portal using their electronic signature (EDS).
Currently, 36,928 citizens with disabilities are registered in Shymkent city, of which 6,446 are children under the age of 18. Persons with disabilities are provided with necessary funds.
