THE VOLUME OF LIGHT INDUSTRY PRODUCTION GROWS IN SHYMKENT
The volume of light industry production in Shymkent since the beginning of the year amounted to 11,621. 5 million tenge. Compared to last year, this indicator increased by 137.3%. Also, the share of light industry in the total volume of manufactured products is 3.9%. And the share of light industry in the republic is 20.9%.
There are many light industry enterprises in Shymkent that produce textiles, clothing, leather and related products. In particular, "AZALA Textile" LLP, "Arayli" LLP, "Zhibek.N.M." LLP, "Gauhar" Sewing Factory" LLP, "AGF Group" Production Company "LLP, "ALATEX" LLP, "Zhanatalap-MT" LLP, "KAZPLAST" LLP, "Shabitex" LLP, "AZALA Cotton" LLP," Alem-BT" LLP, "Cotton-Pulp" LLP, "Bal Textile" LLP, "Nazar Textile" LLP.
A special economic zone "Ontustik" operates on 200 hectares for the development of the textile industry and increasing its competitiveness, increasing the share of domestic cotton consumption and the production of finished textile products with high added value. The investment portfolio of the special economic zone "Ontustik" consists of 44 projects with a total value of 86.1 billion tenge. To date, 22 projects have been implemented, investments in the amount of 32.6 billion tenge have been attracted, 2,282 jobs have been created.
It is worth noting that since the launch of the enterprises-participants of the SEZ "Ontustik" produced products worth 82.1 billion tenge, more than half of the products were exported to 22 countries of the near and far abroad for 45.1 billion tenge.
