THE REGULAR 6TH SESSION OF SHYMKENT CITY MASLIKHAT WAS HELD
Today, the regular sixth session of the seventh convocation of the Maslikhat of Shymkent city was held. The agenda of the session included reports on the implementation of the city's budget for 2020, on measures to support and rehabilitate socially vulnerable segments of the population, the department of passenger Transport and highways, and measures to provide housing for the city's population. All these issues were considered in detail by the Standing Committees.
At the session, Shymkent city mayor Murat Aitenov noted that a number of decisions have been made that give impetus to the work of the local executive body, and also outlined important issues that contribute to the implementation of the policy of further development of the city.
- During the clarification of the budget, the funds were mainly used to address issues of concern to residents, which have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the city. In particular, in accordance with the election program of the Nur Otan party, priority is given to the development of the engineering and infrastructure system of the city. In addition, in order to improve courtyards, multi-storey residential buildings, and the development of mass sports in microdistricts, it is planned to install universal sports grounds.

It should be noted that 101 sports grounds will be built. This is a great achievement. These works are carried out at the expense of private investors. As a result of this work, there will be sports grounds in each microdistrict. This year we held the "Shymkent Youth League". Children's interest in this project is growing. About 8 thousand athletes took part in the competition. The main achievement is to increase the interest of children, - said the city mayor.
In addition, the session approved the development program of Shymkent city for 2021-2025 in accordance with the state planning system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The mayor of the city noted the positive dynamics of the main city indicators since the beginning of this year and stressed the need to further strengthen the work.
