STREET LIGHTING PROJECT IS STILL UNDERWAY IN SHYMKENT
In accordance with the President’s instructions, the project «Construction, Reconstruction and Operation of Lighting of Shymkent» is implemented through a public-private partnership in order to create a comfortable urban environment for the population.
In this regard, intensive work is underway to illuminate the streets of Guldala, Zholaman, Agaiyndy Tazhibayev, Syzdykov, Egemen El, Kazyna, Almakhan Kazhy and Zhabay ata, Argopherma Karasu, Aksuat.
Also in 2021-2023, the project will illuminate 312 streets for the comfort and safety of residents. In particular, in 2021,104 streets will be covered, 102 streets in 2022 and 106 streets in 2023. As a result, street lighting in the metropolitan area will reach 70 per cent.
It should be noted that currently 43,016 street lamps are being maintained in the metropolis on 228 streets, 8 parks and 32 squares, as well as in the courtyards of 1,026 multi-storey residential buildings.
